Self-care means knowing how to look after yourself psychologically, spiritually, and physically. What might surprise you though, is to learn that all these things are tightly linked. In order to feel good about yourself, you need to physically look after yourself. In order to look your best and be successful, you need to truly believe in yourself and be filled with self-compassion.
So how do you do this? By taking a two-pronged approach. You must simultaneously change the way you react to yourself and the world around you, and you must start treating yourself more kindly. In other words, you must look after yourself in the same way that a loving parent might look after you.
This takes a huge shift in thinking, but it’s ultimately transformative in the way that you end up feeling and acting.
